Sex Trafficking Policy

Victims of sex or severe human trafficking can request that Protection Plus Solutions block adverse information resulting from Human Sex Trafficking from their criminal background screening records. To submit a request, please provide identifying documentation, specific details of the items to block, and proof of victim status from a court, government entity, or authorized advocate.

Required Documentation

To process your request, please provide the following:

 

  1. Identity Verification
    Proof of identity.
  2. Trafficking Documentation
    Proof of victim status (for example: court order, governmental determination, or certified self-attestation).
  3. Specific Details
    A list of the specific adverse information that should be blocked.

 

Acceptable Trafficking Documentation

 

The documentation must confirm that a consumer is a victim of trafficking and must come from one of the following:

  • A Federal, State, or Tribal governmental entity
  • A court of competent jurisdiction, including certain documents filed in court
  • A non-governmental organization or human trafficking task force, including victim service providers affiliated with these entities and authorized by a Federal, State, or Tribal government entity
  • A self-attestation by a consumer identifying as a victim of trafficking, signed or certified by a Federal, State, or Tribal government entity, court of competent jurisdiction, or an authorized representative of these entities
