USER AGREEMENT

Protection Plus Solutions (PPS) Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to “Personal Information” (as it pertains to all background screening services below) Your company provides PPS the data to initiate the candidate’s background screening product(s) by ordering specific products on our platform www.protectionplussolutions.com to assist you with making the “right hiring choices” by running a background check product, this also constitutes a legal agreement between your company, your candidate(s), and Protection Plus Solutions.

 

PPS main objective for the protection of Personal Information is to redact the first 5 numbers of a candidate’s SSN, Obtain validation of the candidate’s social security number once entered, obtain the candidate’s legal name, address, email address, phone number, and driver’s license information. Ensuring that the company who is hiring of their candidate has received the candidates “Authorization to Release Information” in accordance with the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act.) PPS user side.

 

PPS has adopted consistent data protection and data security standards for processing Personal Information of its vendors, clients, partners, prospects, and employees. PPS understands their responsibilities for protecting the privacy of Personal Information, including any personal information being maintained, against threats posed by unauthorized access or misuse. Or by cyber security issues outlined in the news media. In addition, PPS respects individual privacy and shall handle all Personal Information with care.

 

PPS Privacy policy understands that long-lasting business relationships are built on security, trust, and exceptional reporting of criminal records. PPS is proud to deliver the highest level of data protection in our industry. This statement also sets important basic conditions for the exchange of data and a reasonable level of data protection for data flows.

 

Protection Plus Solution’s privacy policy applies to all Companies we work with as well as associated companies and their employees and covers the following: collection, storage, and use of Personal Information relating to clients, partners, Company employees, and prospects. This includes data relating to customers, prospects, suppliers, and other third parties. Your company can store and use Personal Information provided by you in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. PPS allows you to store your candidate’s background checks, and other secured products up to 7 years from the date the report(s) have been run.

 

PPS reserves the right to change its Privacy Policy by publishing new terms on the Site at least thirty (30) days before the effective date of the changes, and your access and use of the Company website or online services thereafter constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of same.

How Does PPS Collect Personal Information For Your Candidate?

 

PPS collects the information your company provides to us in order to run the candidates background report or other screening products. This information depends on the context of your interactions with PPS, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The data we collect may include the following:

End User: Vendor or Company collects Personal Information of its employees, contractors or vendors. Vendors or Company have candidates sign an authorization to release information with signature validation informing the candidate that a background check and other record searches may be conducted by PPS, i.e. MVR, Drug Testing, ID Badging, etc. A vendor or Company will then log into the PPS Platform and run background screening products from the information provided by the candidate. This information will include legal name, social security number, date of birth, residence address, email address, phone number. When you contact us, such as for customer support, phone conversations or chat sessions with our representatives may be monitored and recorded.

 

The types of Personal Information collected at these application pages may include:

  • Legal Name as it appears on the candidate’s social security card.
  • Social Security Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Residence Address
  • Phone number
  • Drivers License Number and State of Issuance
  • Other information as agreed upon through separate Terms of Use/Terms and Conditions specified to the application, where applicable.

 

System Information

 

PPS collects the time a user enters the PPS platform. certain information such as pages viewed, the date, time and length of time spent on the site, computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system and platform, and other transactions performed on the Site. If a user, however, access the platform through a mobile device, we are also able to identify the device ID and location of your mobile device. You may choose not to share your location details with us by adjusting your mobile device’s location services settings. For instructions on changing the relevant settings, please contact your service provider or device manufacturer.

How Often Does PPS Update Their Products and Services?

 

PPS will update its platform if our service providers inform us of new laws and legislation that are required to do so. PPS will provide the end-users with updated information regarding products and services when the end user logs into the Platform. PPS will keep the news alert on the platform for 30 days and/or if the platform will be temporarily down for maintenance or other reasons.

  • PPS will provide you with updates and information about our products and services.
  • PPS will not provide information collected nor disclose this information to a third party or disclose this information in any way permitted by law.

Security and Confidentiality

 

PPS has implemented technology and security features, methods, and processes to safeguard the privacy of your candidate’s Personal Information from unauthorized access or improper use is prohibited, and we will seek to continue to enhance its security procedures as new technology becomes available. All Personal information collected is treated as confidential; any unauthorized collection, processing, or use of such Personal Information is prohibited. In the context of increasingly flexible company organizations, it must be ensured that only certain employees have access to Personal Information on a need-to-know basis. All End Users that log into the PPS Platform must be registered within the Platform and the companies they work for. Companies and End Users (s) are required to l inform PPS when a manager or admin should leave the company so that they no longer have access to the PPS Platform. It is the sole responsibility of the Company or end-user to inform PPS of this process. Failure to do so is a breach of security on their part.

California Privacy Rights

 

Under California law, California residents may request once a year, free of charge, certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes.
